Up until 2014 the Gateway functioned without financial contributions from users. It will continue to be a facility that is free-of-charge. The Perth Gateway has recently installed new Echolink software, ‘EPMicro’. Basically this is a scaled-down version of ‘Echoproducer’, the software which was installed and used before the latest change in PC. As it is a scaled-down version, its system requirements are much more modest than its predecessor. For the time being, users may not notice much difference in operation between EPMicro and the basic Echolink software, except for voice idents. However this may change as I explore and add features. If any users experience problems, please let me know.

One advantage of the new software is that if there is an accidental disconnection from the Ireland Conference, the Gateway will automatically re-connect.

Planned schedule for the coming week is as follows:

Sunday 21st  – normal*.

Monday 22nd  – normal.

Tuesday 23rd – normal.

Wednesday 24th – late operation.

Thursday 25th – normal.

Friday 26th – late operation.

Saturday 27th – normal.

PLEASE CHECK FOR AMENDED SCHEDULE ON A DAILY BASIS.
